Empty Juror Box

New Jersey Jurors

  • Until June 15, all jurors will serve online by video instead of coming to a courthouse.
  • The Supreme Court has not set a date when juries can resume in person.
  • Some jurors summoned to report on June 15 or after might be asked to serve in person. Those jurors will perform their first day of jury service online by video.
  • All jurors summoned to report on June 15 or after will be told by the judge if the rest of their jury service will be by video or in person. Jurors will be able to raise any concerns about continuing their service at that time.
  • The Judiciary does not ask jurors or other court users about their vaccination status.
  • Masks and social distancing are required in the courthouse.
  • Some courts are doing no-touch temperature screenings when court visitors enter.
  • We are limiting the number of people allowed in the courthouse.
  • Your health and safety are important to us. The Judiciary continues to monitor the spread of the coronavirus and any potential impact on court operations. We follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and New Jersey Department of Health.
