Question and Answer

How do I obtain a copy of a "Final Judgment of Divorce"?

You may request a certified copy of a Final Judgment of Divorce from the Superior Court Clerk's office. Provide the Docket number (M or FM#), case title, county of venue and the document you wish to obtain in your request. If you do not have the docket number, provide us with the following: First and last names of the plaintiff and the defendant; County in which the divorce took place; the approximate year in which the divorce took place. The minimum fee for a certified copy of a judgment of divorce is $10. The Superior Court Records Center does not store all Judgments of Divorce at our facility. The location depends on the year of the divorce. After a search is conducted to locate the docket number and it is found that the Judgment is located in the county Family Division, your request will be forwarded to their office for processing.
