Propecia® (also known by its active ingredient Finasteride) was approved by the FDA in 1997 as a treatment for male pattern hair loss. Propecia® prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body, which has been implicated in the balding process. This litigation involves actions seeking damages and/or other relief arising allegedly from the use of Propecia®.
