In the Matter of Discovery Motions for Alleged Racial Profiling by the New Jersey State Police


This matter coming before the Court by consent through Paul Shapiro and Paul Heinzel, Deputy Attorney Generals; and
it appearing that an Order as to preservation of the State Police documents statewide may not have been previously
entered and for good cause shown;
It is on this 16th day of June, 2000
ORDERED that the New Jersey State Police, their servants, agents and employees are hereby restrained from the
destruction of any and all memorandums, documents, policy papers or any other form of writing relating to:
1) The training of troopers;
2) The enforcement of drug laws, traffic enforcement or enforcement of any other criminal laws, and
3) The promotion, reward, award or any other forms of incentives to members of the New Jersey State Police.
