Notice - Filing Requirements for Election-Related Complaints - Filing in the Law Division (Case Type 804); Providing Electronic Copy of the Complaint to the Assignment Judge

Attorneys and self-represented court users are reminded that all election-related complaints must be filed in the Law Division-Civil Part of the Superior Court. When submitting a complaint, filers should select case type 804 on the Civil Case Information Statement.

To ensure that election-related matters are scheduled and handled promptly, as an adjunct to filing, an electronic copy of any election-related complaint also should be provided to the Assignment Judge in the relevant vicinage. The attorney or self-represented litigant should call the Assignment Judge’s chambers for guidance on providing that electronic copy to the Assignment Judge.
