Notice - May 28, 2025 Public Hearing on Proposed Court Rule Amendments - Proposed Amendments to Landlord Tenant Forms and Processes

          The Supreme Court has scheduled an in-person public hearing on Committee reports and proposed Rule amendments for Wednesday, May 28, 2025, as set forth in a May 2, 2025 Notice to the Bar.   By separate March 27, 2025 Notice to the Bar, the Court published for comment proposed amendments to existing residential landlord tenant forms and processes. As set forth in that March 27, 2025 notice, in addition to written comments, the Court invited oral comment on those proposed landlord tenant reforms at the May 28, 2025 public hearing. 

          Anyone who wishes to speak to the proposed amendments to residential landlord tenant forms and processes at the May 28 public hearing should so indicate via email sent to Comments.Mailbox@njcourts.gov by Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The request should indicate whether the speaker will be representing an organization. Please note that the time limit on each speaker's presentation will be five minutes. 

          The hearing will be live streamed. For those wishing to view the hearing, a link will be posted on the front page of the Judiciary website on the morning of the hearing (https://www.njcourts.gov).
