NOTICE TO THE BAR
MULTICOUNTY LITIGATION APPLICATION – NEW JERSEY STATE COURT LITIGATION INVOLVING LVNV FUNDING LLC LITIGATION
The Supreme Court has received an application pursuant to Directive #02-19, “Multicounty Litigation Guidelines and Criteria for Designation (Revised),” for Multicounty Litigation (MCL) designation of New Jersey state-court litigation involving LCNV Funding LLC, which challenge LVNV Funding LLC’s attempts to collect consumer debts voided under the New Jersey Consumer Finance Licensing Act, N.J.S.A. 17:11C-1 et seq., and in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. 1692 et seq., and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 et seq.
The MCL application was submitted by counsel for plaintiffs.
