On Thursday, October 9, 2025, the Morris County Courthouse will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Morris County Administration Building will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a planned security exercise.
The Morris County Administration Building will reopen to the public at 1:30 p.m. for non-court county business only.
Court Staff will be available by phone from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at (862)-397-5700 with all matters to be heard virtually after 1:30 p.m. Emergent matters will be heard prior to 11 a.m. or virtually after 1:30 p.m.
On that day, anyone seeking a temporary domestic violence restraining order between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. should make their application to the Morristown Police Department or to their local police department.
