Notice - Special Civil Part - Fee Increase for Service of Process by Mail (Effective May 1, 2025)

This notice is to advise that effective May 1, 2025, the fee to be paid by the filing party for service by mail in Special Civil Part (SCP) cases is increased from $7.00 to $10.00.

N.J.S.A. 22A:2-37.l(a)(5) provides that the Administrative Director of the Courts shall set the fee for service of process, including summons by mail, which amount shall not exceed current United States Postal Service rates as rounded up to the nearest dollar. The current rate charged by the United States Postal Service is $9.49. Accordingly, the Supreme Court has approved setting this filing fee at $10.00.
