Hudson Vicinage to Celebrate National Adoption Day

The Hudson Vicinage will hold a National Adoption Day celebration on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Hudson County Administration Building, 595 Newark Ave, Jersey City.

The event, which begins at 9 a.m., will be the vicinage’s first in-person Adoption Day ceremony since 2019.

The Hudson Vicinage will host the event along with the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency and the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Hudson County.

Assignment Judge Jeffrey R. Jablonski and Family Division Judges Michael A. Jimenez and Margaret Marley will be finalizing the adoptions of three children who will be welcomed into their forever families.

National Adoption Day is an annual event in which courts and communities in all 50 states join to finalize thousands of adoptions and to celebrate families who adopt. 

Although adoptions are closed to the public, Judge Jablonski will be available for interviews after the adoption proceedings have concluded.
