Passaic Vicinage Recovery Court to Graduate 27 Participants

The Passaic Vicinage Recovery Court will hold a graduation ceremony for 27 participants on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 9:30 a.m. at Passaic County Community College in Paterson.

Recovery Court Judge Miguel de la Carrera will preside over the ceremony. Criminal Division Presiding Judge Sohail Mohammed and the Rosa Parks High School Concert Choir will also participate. Retired Superior Court Judge Mark Sandson, who served as a recovery court judge in Atlantic County, will serve as keynote speaker.

For those who cannot attend in person, Passaic County Community College will provide a live stream of the ceremony at https://youtu.be/_IfN3thmDjk.

The Judiciary’s recovery court program operates within the Superior Court to address non-violent, drug-related cases. The rigorous program requires completion of five phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment that includes intensive probation supervision, frequent drug testing, and virtual court appearances.
