Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage to Celebrate Law Week

The Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage, in partnership with the bar associations of Atlantic and Cape May counties, will host a week of activities to celebrate Law Day, beginning Monday, April 28. While some events, such as school visits, wellness presentations, volunteer recognition events, and continuing legal education classes for attorneys will be held internally, the following events are open to the public:

Monday, April 28

•    4 p.m. – Student art show in the jury assembly room of the Atlantic County Criminal Courts Complex, 4997 Unami Blvd., Mays Landing. The event will be presented by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
•    One Judge-One School judicial outreach program display debut on the third floor, east wing of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building, 1201 Bacharach Blvd., Atlantic City. 

Tuesday, April 29

•    2-5 p.m. – Atlantic County probation job fair at the All Wars Memorial Building, 1510 Adriatic Ave., Atlantic City.
•    2-2:30 p.m. – Atlantic County Bar Association In-Memoriam in courtroom 3A of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building. (Also available via livestream at             njcourts.gov/public/channels.)
•    3-4:30 p.m. – Atlantic County Bar Association CLE - “The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One”

Thursday, May 1

•    9-10 a.m. – One Judge, One School visit with Danielle J. Walcoff in courtroom 3B of the Atlantic County Civil Courts Building.
•    5:30 p.m. – Atlantic County Bar Past Presidents Dinner - Linwood Country Club

Friday, May 2

8:30 a.m.-Noon – Cape May County Law Day events in the jury assembly room of the Cape May County Courthouse, 9 N. Main St., Cape May Court House.

•    Gibson-Batten Spirit of the Community Award
•    Volunteer Recognition
•    Cape May County Mock Trial Trophy Presentation
•    Unveiling of portrait of retired Superior Court Judge John R. Rauh
