Aliem Jumpp Appointed Deputy Clerk for Administrative Services for the Appellate Division

The Supreme Court has appointed Aliem Jumpp as a deputy clerk for the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, effective May 9.

In his new position as deputy clerk of administrative services, Jumpp will oversee e-filing and technology applications, the official court record, personnel, budget, facilities and other management duties for the Appellate Division.

Jumpp, an information technology manager for the past two years, succeeds Saul E. Hernandez, who was appointed operations manager in the Burlington Vicinage.

"We are delighted to promote Aliem to this important position. During his years of service to our court, he has shown a commitment to provide our judges and staff with all the tools needed to serve the public at the highest level,” said Chief Appellate Judge Thomas W. Sumners Jr.

Joining the Judiciary in 2004 as an administrative specialist in the Burlington Vicinage, Jumpp was responsible for providing technical support to judges and staff for videoconferencing and for new and existing recording systems. During his six years in that role, he served as the project manager for the vicinage’s telephone system upgrade.

Jumpp served the next six years with the Appellate Division as an administrative specialist who provided technical support training, policy, and procedural guidance to court staff on new and existing electronic recording systems.

In 2016, he was promoted to an information technology analyst in the appellate division, a position he held for seven years.

Jumpp served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1997 to 2001 at Camp Lejeune, NC, attaining the rank of lance corporal.
