Camden Vicinage to Celebrate Law Day 2025

The Camden Vicinage will celebrate Law Day on Thursday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hall of Justice, 101 S. Fifth St., Camden with a program for local high school students followed by a mock trial.

Matt Rooney, president of the Camden County Bar Association, will give opening remarks and an overview of the Law Day theme, “The Constitution’s Promise: Out of Many, One.”

Trial Court Administrator Colleen Lore will provide a video postcard announcing the winners of a poster and essay contest that was open to students from schools across Camden County in which they shared their meaning of this year’s theme.

After the program, students from Overbrook High School in Pine Hill will conduct a mock trial with students from Camden County Technical School’s Gloucester Township campus in attendance.

The program is sponsored by the vicinage in partnership with the Camden County Bar Foundation.

Law Day is a national event established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 as “a day of national dedication to the principles of government under law.”
