Mercer Vicinage to Hold Opening of Court and Memorial Ceremony

The Mercer Vicinage, in partnership with the Mercer County Bar Association, will hold its annual Opening of Courts Ceremony and Memorial Service on Tuesday, Sept. 2 for members and former members of the bar association who passed during the prior court year.

The public ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. in the Ceremonial Courtroom on the fourth floor of the Criminal Courthouse, 400 S. Warren St., Trenton. It also will be viewable through Zoom.

Assignment Judge Robert T. Lougy will preside over the ceremony and Brian Shea, president of the bar association, will speak and preside over the memorial service. 

This year, the vicinage and the bar will memorialize Tax Court Judge Michael A. Andrew Jr., Administrative Law Judge Israel D. Dubin, and attorneys Edward J. Bergman, William L. Boyd, Colette A. Coolbaugh, Roland R. Formidoni, Harry R. Hill Jr., Brian M. Hughes, Rocky L. Peterson, Mark Z. Segal, George B. Somers Jr., and Ellen T. Wry. 

A reception provided by the bar association will follow the ceremony.
