The New Jersey Judiciary is aware of a toll violation scam claiming to be from a municipal court. The fraudulent message threatens entry of a default judgment, assessment of fines and other costs, and notification to the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.

Do not scan the QR Code.

To pay valid traffic tickets, parties can make payments by accessing NJMCDirect under “online tools” on the municipal court page via njcourts.gov.

Remain vigilant when receiving unsolicited communications, especially those asking you to click links or share personal information.
